Qualcomm’s Lawyers Responsible for Discovery Violation 

In one of the most massive electronic discovery violation rulings to date, a United States District Court Judge has slapped Qualcomm with huge sanctions for failing to produce over 46,000 emails in the now famous Qualcomm v. Broadcom patent case. And if that wasn’t bad enough, 6 of the attorneys representing Qualcomm have been referred to the State Bar for alleged ethics violations in connection with the case. Judge Barbara Major has ordered the investigation suggesting the attorneys may have ignored their ethical responsibilities to perform a more thorough search for electronic evidence in the case.
